This month we have the pleasure of hosting returning guest Ben Moore of Ben’s Bees in Australia! Sadly Australia was hit with Varroa Mites mid 2022, resulting in a series of drastic responses, from sampling hives, restricting transport of colonies between zones to colony euthanization. Ben is joining us to recap, reflect and discuss their efforts to Fight the Mites. Here in Hawaii we were Mite free until the mid 2000’s, and can sympathize and possibly offer insight into what our fellow Aussies are going through!
