M.D.C. Live in Kona!

The iconic punk/hardcore band MDC has been performing since 1981 and has released over a dozen albums. Originally from Texas, the band relocated to California, and then Oregon. Their DIY punk ethos and music has been cited as an influence by bands like Green Day, Rancid, Nirvana and countless others.

EL SANCHO

The Big Island punk band EL SANCHO has been performing around the Hawaiian Islands since 2019, and released their third album Heads Up! this summer. The 9-song album was released on colored vinyl by the Maui-based record label/promotion company Local Punks. EL SANCHO has played alongside many touring bands including Agent Orange, Supersuckers, Teenage Bottlerocket and DOA.

THE ALCOHAOLES

THE ALCOHAOLES play fast, chaotic hardcore influence by Black Flag, Rancid and the Queers. Their songs rarely go over a minute and their entertaining live show matches the urgency of their music.

TREY WONDER AND THE GRAVEYARD THUNDER

Captain Cook-based artist TREY WONDER debuts his new live band THE GRAVEYARD THUNDER, performing songs from his extensive catalog of lo-fi punk/alternative albums.

SELECTOR KAIHEWALU will spin Oi! and Punk records between bands!

Club Ekahi is located at 74-5596 Pawai Place, in the Brewery Block area of Kailua-Kona.  Club Ekahi is on the 2nd floor of Building B, overlooking Kuakini Hwy.

Enter through the Kona Town Storage parking lot, or by foot through the gate on Kuakini Hwy across from Tony Honda.

Tickets are $20 advance, $25 at the door.

Doors at 6:30pm, all ages welcome, BYOB if 21+.
