Hilo’s Premier Gathering Place is joining the ranks of venues across the island by launching their very own ʻOhana Night Market this Thursday, August 17th, from 5pm to 9pm. Centrally located closer to Hilo and off the Panaewa stretch, in Nani Mau Gardens’ spacious parking lot.
Admission and parking are free. Their ʻOhana Night Market will take place every 3rd Thursday of the month. It is an all ages event, so bring the whole ‘ohana!
Live Entertainment? Yes Please!
Offering a variety of craft and food vendors, including food trucks, the Nani Mau Gardens ohana also plan to provide a family-oriented night with local and live entertainers. Live entertainment starts at 5pm with Island Notes, a small ensemble with the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra, Komakakino and their hula halau follows at 630pm.
Nani Mau Gardens Future Plans
In addition to the 3rd Thursdays Ohana Night Market, Nani Mau Gardens plans to create events that the entire family can be a part of. “We are hoping to create a broad range of community events that are fun for the entire ‘ohana. We want to provide a safe place for people to gather, enjoy local grinds, and listen to live music, together as a community.” says Domini Molina, Events Specialist and Owner of Promotions Hawai’i. Domini has teamed up with Nani Mau Gardens to help bring this event to the community.
