UPDATE: For the safety of everyone involved, we have pushed the Virtual Craft Fair back a bit. We are now accepting applications until April 22 HERE. Filming will now take place on May 5, 2020, with the Virtual Craft Fair airing on Saturday, May 9 at 9 a.m. We look forward to being able to bring this opportunity to the community, mahalo to the Palace Theater for allowing us space to film!
We know that there is a lot of creativity, hard work, and planning that goes into preparing for the big annual craft fairs this time of year. In light of recent event cancellations, we want to help! Bigislandpulse.com will be offering very limited spaces to vendors who would like to participate in our 2020 Virtual Community Craft Fair that will air on May 9 April 18, 2020 across a variety of platforms.
Our virtual community craft fair is an online event where we will showcase your products in a video segment and provide links to your website, social media, and/or virtual store. We also encourage vendors to be available online when the production airs to answer questions and participate in networking.
Filming will take place at the Historic Palace Theatre in Hilo on May 5, 2020 Monday 4/13, Tuesday 4/14 and if needed Wednesday 4/15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your items and be prepared to shine! We are offering 5-10 minute video time slots for craft vendors. If vendors cannot be here in person on film days, you are welcome to send us a 5 to 10 minute video that we will include in the finished production.
We will be airing this video segment on Bigislandpulse.com to our 1.5 annual viewers as well as to our social media following of over 31,000 people. We will also be working to release information about you and your crafts via our news and radio partners.
There will be a $50 “booth” fee in order to participate. The $50 fee includes one 5-minute segment and one business link added to our website. For additional exposure you can add on extra time to your segment at the rate of $15 per minute, up to a total of 10 minutes. You can also add additional links and information to our website for $10 per line. Please note that there is NO application fee. Please understand that this production will take considerable work on our end, so we are keeping that fee as low as possible to cover expenses.
Additionally, as we understand a lot of vendors may not have websites or online stores, we have a very talented team that can help you quickly and easily set up an online platform to help you receive payments and sell your products. There will be a nominal fee for this service paid directly from you to the web page designers.
The virtual craft fair will air on 5/9/20 across all platforms. We hope you will join us. The goal of Bigislandpulse.com is to keep our island communities safe, informed and connected.
