Samoan Flag Day Celebration
Big Island’s 1st ever Samoan Flag Day Celebration. Celebrating the 121 year partnership between American Samoa and the United States. Come enjoy live music and performances by Tupulaga O Samoa from UH Hilo/HCC, Komakakino, Halau Ha’a Kea o Kinohi Kumu Hula Paul Neves and other Special guests and artists… and yes, our kitchen will be open for dine-in and take-out 10am – 8pm. Banana peeling and basket weaving contest for cash and prizes!! No reservations and first-come-first-serve. Feel free to get a good parking spot and enjoy from the bed of your truck. Youre welcome to bring your own chairs. We just ask that we all respect the current Health Guidelines so that we can safely enjoy the full day of events!
