Brand New Big Island Token Tour - Supports Local Small Businesses
The Big Island Token Tour starts May 1st, 2022, and runs through December 31st, 2022. It’s a fun, interactive, and memorable way for the whole ‘ohana to support locally owned businesses! All brought to you by Big Island Pulse, The Making Place Hawai`i and The Kama`āina Directory!
Creator Christina Karsen-Gray is the Owner of The Making Place in Mountain View. She understands the struggles of owning a small business. Christina really wanted to start something fun that could help highlight and directly support local businesses here on the Big Island. “It has been so fun to connect with other locally owned businesses! There are so many treasures on this island! This will be fun for everyone!” said Karsen-Gray
This self-guided, Pokémon Go-esque, token hunt is a real-life way to directly show support for our locally owned businesses. Now is the time! Our businesses island-wide need our help! How many times in the past 2 years have we had to say goodbye and watch as another family-owned, small business closed it’s doors for good here. It’s heartbreaking and this tour brings a real-life, fun way to directly give to them, bring awareness and help them to remain open! We can help, you can help.
