How It All Began..

Nearly five years ago, Aesha Shapiro had an idea to promote herself and other female business owners by holding a pop-up market in her back yard. From those initial fifteen female entrepreneurs, Ladies Artisan Market Networking Group (“LAM”) has now grown to over 1,500 members strong.

LAM is tops when it comes to supporting, educating and getting resources for female boss babe business owners! Prior to the pandemic LAM held in-person markets, meet-ups, mixers and coffee dates for female business owners to learn from each other and teach new business owners valuable business lessons. These events are slowly beginning again, with attention paid to following COVID protocols. The main focus of LAM is to teach about the importance of visibility in business, from teaching about story marketing, how to effectively use social media platforms, how to determine and promote your niche business, and critical coaching to help the business owner create and grow her business to meet her needs and goals.

How It's Going...

The demand for coaching and individual attention led LAM to create the Whole Business Woman Academy, which is a comprehensive and intense one-year training and coaching program that focuses in on major areas of business that the average entrepreneur may not think about when that lightning bolt of an idea strikes. The Academy holds weekly meetings, individual coaching sessions, and monthly modules on important business considerations such as finances, blogging/marketing, accountability, copyrighting, etc. Each Academy member is paired with her own coach for the year, as well as having time with Aesha herself.

LAM also holds an Annual Women’s Conference, the first of which occurred just prior to the lockdown in 2020, and the second of which will be held via Zoom next Friday, November 19, 2021, from 9:30am- 5:30pm (yoga and meditation begins at 7:00am). The theme for this year’s conference is “Let’s Get Visible!” The content of the conference will reflect the mission of LAM and include key topics to make your business a success- however the business owner defines success. “Ladies Artisan Market, where passion meets purpose through a collaborative space and supportive community where you can dream big all while making things happen, designing your best self and your best life!” Ally Brown of Ally B Inspired & Ladies Artisan Market Managing Director & CFO   The conference will also include programming to address your physical, mental, and spiritual health through a Zen room providing yoga and meditation instruction prior to the beginning of the day’s schedule. There will be break out rooms on topics of interest, a coffee room to gather and chat informally, a lunch lounge, and live music and movement opportunities throughout the day. The cost of the conference is a reasonable $45 per person, and enables you to be eligible for the giveaways (one of which is FREE TUITION for the 2022 Whole Business Woman Academy!). You may also be eligible for a discounted tuition for the Academy if you sign up during the conference.

LADIES- do not miss this fabulous opportunity to network and learn from your fellow womenpreneurs!

  1. I was one of the 15 entrepreneurs at the first LAM pop-up in Aesha’s backyard and it is astounding to see how much it’s grown over the past 5 years. My business pursuits have changed since that first event, but LAM has been a guiding and inspiring force through every one of my evolutions. This past year, in the Whole Business Woman Academy, I’ve learned SO much. All the tools and information I’ve gained are guiding me forward as I refine my entrepreneurial identity- and the best part is that I’m doing it with a community of seriously AH-mazing women! I can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store!
