19th Annual Run for the Dry Forest
Location
Come join us for a run through the dry forest at Pu‘uwa‘awa‘a! The Run for the Dry Forest features a 10K run, a 5K run/walk, and a 1/4-mile keiki run. The 10K run is an “extreme trail running experience,” featuring a 1,200-foot elevation gain in the first 3 miles. The 5K is suitable for most fitness levels and jogging strollers. The keiki run is perfect for little legs as well as parents. There will also be educational booths and a silent auction with items from local businesses. It’s fun for the whole family!
Pu‘uwa‘awa‘a is home to several species of endangered birds and many endangered plants, some of which are found nowhere else in the world. Proceeds from the race contribute to the conservation of these species. Registration is required. Sign up early, as prices will increase as race day approaches. Please note, there will be no race-day registration.
