In honor of Tsunami Awareness Month, the Pahoa Public Library will be hosting a free public talk by Dr. Walt Dudley from the Pacific Tsunami Museum in Hilo. Talk topic will be the 1946 April Fools Day Tsunami, Let Us Not Forget Hawaii’s Most Deadly Natural Hazard. This talk is part of the Pacific Tsunami Museum’s 30th Anniversary Tsunami Talk Series, commemorating three decades of educating and raising awareness about tsunami preparedness and resilience here at the Pacific Tsunami Museum

Program is suitable for age 13 and over. All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
