Aloha friends please join Pamela Owens, Owner of Pineapples Restaurant in Hilo THIS Sunday as she aims to take action and clean-up our downtown Hilo! Many buildings have been vandalized with graffiti and tagging and its up to us to make our streets beautiful! We ask for your help and support as we take to the streets to clean-up downtown Hilo!
“I’m tired of looking at the graffiti-riddled and the decrepitude of storefronts along Keawe street. No more waiting for the county or cops to do something. I’m going to start at the old Under His Wings this Sunday, August 2nd at 10:30 a.m. if anyone wants to help scrape paint off windows and paint over the yuck that’s become the norm of downtown.” —Pamela Owens
Please Bring these items for the clean-up:
Paint scrapers, paint brushes and extra paint if you want to join. Maybe some artists to draw over the glass to help deter future tagging?
Thanks everyone for helping spread the word! Mahalo for helping to revive our beautiful downtown buildings!
