Punk rock night in Kona: El Sancho and the Magmatics
The first Punk Rock Night of 2023!
Gertrude’s Jazz Bar on Ali’i Drive in downtown Kona gets invaded by two punk bands on Saturday January 21st!
This show is FREE, and all ages are welcome! Come check out the first punk show ever at this iconic Ali’i Drive spot!
EL SANCHO keeps it fast, fun and loud with their spastic punk songs, drawing influence from bands like the Descendents, Agent Orange and Angry Samoans. El Sancho is finishing up their third album and recently joined the Supersuckers for three nights on their Hawaiian Islands tour.
It’s THE MAGMATICS’ first show but expect nothing less than awesomeness from this surf punk supergroup. The Magmatics features members of many Kona bands past and present, including Charlie Don’t Surf, Lip Service, The Tremors and El Sancho. Expect a mix of originals plus some classic punk covers!
