Punk Show: Hell Caminos (Oahu), El Sancho, K.O.A., Kyle Strngz in Kona
Oahu’s rockabilly/punk legends the HELL CAMINOS return to the Big Island for their first show here in over 10 years! The three-piece band has been performing around Hawaii for two decades, and their newest album “Wounds” is coming out in late 2023. By blending rockabilly, punk and swing music, the Hell Caminos created a unique sound that has made them a crowd favorite.
EL SANCHO is a fast fun DIY punk rock band from the Big Island of Hawaii. They’ve been playing around the Hawaiian islands since 2019 and have released two albums and a slew of singles. Their third album Heads Up! comes out in late 2023.
Their songs range from political to personal, but they try to not take themselves too seriously. Razorcake magazine said El Sancho “handles the endless American nightmare era well” and Maximumrocknroll called them “catchy and infectious.” Their witty lyrics have drawn comparisons to bands like Screeching Weasel, Mr T Experience and Bad Religion. For some guys who hit their teenage years in the 1990s, I can’t think of a better compliment.
KAUZ OF AFFLICTION is a genre-bending two piece band that takes the best of punk, metal, pop and just about everything else to weave a chaotic sonic quilt onstage. The band just finished up their fifth album “Unhinged” which will be released later this year.
KYLE STRNGZ comes over from Hilo to jam some sweet alternative hip hop vibes in his Willie’s Hot Chicken debut!
This show is FREE, all ages, outdoors, and starts at 6pm. Limited seating available. Food and drink available for purchase.
