present the Songwriter’s Immersive Weekend on August 17th and 18th. A two-day power-packed workshop from 12-5PM tailored for singer/songwriters and music creators at ALL levels. $80 presale, which can be accessed here. $90 day-of sign-ups at the door. Both days will be followed by a free for all ages, after-workshop concert featuring attendees and special guests from 6-9pm.
Your industry experts for this weekend are:
Jaslyn Loftin, CEO of Lemon Lunchbox Music Group and a singer/songwriter based on Oahu. Her specialties are in writing toplines for various artists in the R&B, Pop, Lo-fi, Hip-Hop, Alternative, and EDM genres, she’ll be discussing the business of songwriting on Day 1.
Conroy Harding is an attorney, concert producer, and entertainment consultant with nearly 20 years of experience, practicing in both New York and Los Angeles before moving to Hilo. His focus will be sharing basic entertainment law–including copy writing and contracts on Day 2.
Bub Pratt, (affectionately known as “Hilo’s Jack Black”) is the curator of Kukuau Studio, a poet, singer/songwriter, producer hailing from Seattle, Washington. He’ll be focusing on the poetry of songwriting, how to pack in imagery and when it’s appropriate to do so on day 1.
Tom Mohbat, owner of Iliki Music Hawaii. He’s recorded and produced local bands and artists since 2002 from many different genres of music. Mohbat will be covering “Home Recording Basics” on Day 2.
