YMCA New Horizons Youth Day Camp

YMCA Summer Sailing Program
Location: Kawaihae
Ages: 10 and Up
Dates: June 13 – July 21
All classes start at 9:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. Must be a member of the YMCA to participate in Sailing Classes.
Cost: Y membership is required ($50, Non-refundable), Sailing Membership ($70) and Sailing Classes ($125)
Registration: Online.
Learn sailing, seamanship and water safety from our sailing club located in Kawaihae. It is our goal to build a program that serves the community and expands recreational opportunities in Kawaihae
Hawai'i County Summer Fun Program
Location: Islandwide

Ages: Completed K through Grade 6
Dates: June 7- July 16
Times: 8A-2P
Cost: $150 per child. Spaces are extremely limited.
Registration: Please look up the county recreational center in your area by clicking on this link for contact information, specific dates and times for registration: Summer Fun – List (hawaiicounty.gov).
The programs will consist of various activities including arts and crafts projects, indoor/outdoor games, sports, music, nature exploration, swimming, special events and excursions- just a reminder, they all vary depending on the site. Tentatively, a free lunch program is being planned with snacks being optional. In the event of the free lunch program being unavailable, participants must bring their own lunch daily.

Hamakua: Honoka’a Gym, Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School Gym, and Papaikou Gym
Hilo: Andrews Gym, Hilo Armory, Kawananakoa Gym, Panaewa Park, Pi’ihonua (Carvalho Park), Pu’ueo Community Center (Teen Scene), Waiakea Recreation Center, Waiakea Uka Gym, Wainaku Gym, and Ike Kai.
Ka’u: Ka’u District Gym and Na’alehu Community Center
Kohala: Hisaoka, Waikoloa Pu’unui, Waimea District Park, Kekuaokalani Gym, and Yano Hall
Puna: Kea’au Armory, Mt. View Gym, and Pahoa District Park
Kamp Alma
