Words are hard enough for some, but for others, these difficulties are often transformed into a kingdom, perhaps even a world, one could explore and paint with glitter and gold.
Tidal Tongues, in collaboration with Kūkūau Studio, presents its very first Grand Slam on July 25th from 6–9 PM, with a $5 cover at the door!
LeMaster, the organizer, invites all poets to a night of friendly competition as they pour their hearts out to the audience and judges, vying for sweet prizes, bragging rights, and poetic glory.
“As your friendly neighborhood vulgar poet, I’ve set the table for local word lovers at the tip of my tongue. Come feast on the raw, delicious art of human expression.
Tidal Tongues Poetry invites you to spit your truth and dares open ears to listen.
This whole thing? Just a metaphorical wet willy, really,” says LeMaster.
The night wouldn’t be complete without a musical interlude by the one and only Warren Weston!
Poets get in FREE!
